Angeli's turnovers create spread risk
Syracuse.com reports that Orange quarterback Steve Angeli has thrown five interceptions over his past two games. That recent turnover rate makes Syracuse difficult to trust as a 6.5-point road favorite, even though the Orange have won six consecutive meetings with UConn.
Syracuse enters Saturday's noon ET game in East Hartford at 1-2 after a 27-13 loss at Pittsburgh. Receiver Calvin Russell III has been cleared for his first start after missing the beginning of the season with an injury, giving the Orange another option on offense.
