Ravens vs. Browns Prediction: Jackson’s Absence Makes Baltimore’s Price Hard to Back
Analysis updated October 18, 2026 at 7:05 AM CDT
Derrick Henry can carry Baltimore’s offense, but Tyler Huntley’s start and Cleveland’s pass rush make the Ravens difficult to back at this price.
Jackson’s absence changes the price
The Cleveland Browns report that Lamar Jackson is out and Tyler Huntley will make his second consecutive start for Baltimore. The Ravens are 3-point road favorites and -170 on the SPF moneyline, a steep price with their starting quarterback unavailable.
Huntley has completed 32 of 41 passes for 264 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in two games this season. Cleveland has 16 sacks through five games, giving its defense a way to disrupt Baltimore’s replacement quarterback.
Baltimore can lean on Henry
Baltimore averages 164.4 rushing yards per game, third-most in the NFL. Derrick Henry has 476 yards and seven touchdowns on 113 carries, while Cleveland allows 117.4 rushing yards per game. That matchup can lighten Huntley’s workload and makes the Ravens the likelier winner.
Cleveland averages only 179.4 passing yards per game, 26th in the league, which limits the case for calling an upset. Dawgs By Nature, a Browns news site, forecasts sunshine, a temperature near 60 degrees, slight wind and no rain, so poor weather shouldn’t hinder either passing game.
Baltimore is the likely winner, but laying 3 points or paying -170 without Jackson isn’t worth the risk. Cleveland’s limited passing production also makes its +142 moneyline unappealing. Pass.
