Broncos vs. Chargers Prediction: Denver’s Pass Rush Favors a Win, Not a Bet
Analysis updated October 11, 2026 at 7:21 AM CDT
The Chargers are missing both starting tackles, while the Broncos enter as road favorites with two starting cornerbacks unavailable.
Denver’s pass rush has the clearest edge
SportsPicksForum lists Denver as a 3.5-point road favorite and -192 on the moneyline, with Los Angeles at +160 and the total at 41.5. The Denver Gazette reports that Chargers tackles Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt are out. Denver has eight sacks and 30 quarterback hits through four games, so that matchup makes the 2-2 Broncos the likelier winner over the 0-4 Chargers.
Why the price is too high
Denver’s risk is in the secondary. According to the Denver Gazette, starting cornerbacks Pat Surtain II and Riley Moss are out, with Kris Abrams-Draine and Jahdae Barron expected to replace them. Los Angeles will also be without wide receiver Quentin Johnston, limiting the value of that matchup for bettors on either side.
The Broncos average only 81.3 rushing yards per game and have lost both road games, at Kansas City and San Francisco. Those results do not prove Denver will struggle again, but they make -3.5 and -192 difficult to justify. The default 50-50 betting split is not a usable public signal, so the best choice is to pass.
