Bradley Beal scored 44 points and Moritz Wagner finished with a career-high 30 points and 15 rebounds as the Washington Wizards recorded a 137-116 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday in Minneapolis. Beal, who had 44 points in Washington's 140-133 loss at Boston on Wednesday, shot 15 of 22 and made 13 of 14 from the foul line to help the Wizards avenge a 131-109 loss to Minnesota on Nov. 2. The Philadelphia Eagles signed Super Bowl-winning running back Jay Ajayi on Friday. Ajayi last played in the NFL in Week 5 of the 2018 season, when he tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in the Eagles' loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The 26-year-old has returned to Philadelphia, who confirmed his signing as Darren Sproles (hip) was placed on the injured reserve after being ruled out for the rest of the season. More than 24 NFL teams plan to attend Colin Kaepernick's open workout in Atlanta on Saturday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Friday. Kaepernick, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback who began kneeling on the sideline during the national anthem to bring attention to social injustice, has not played since the 2016 season.
