Cleveland
Former Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Todd Haley pointed the finger at the team's current head coach Freddie Kitchens for the late-game melee that marred Thursday's contest. Haley told SiriusXM Radio on Friday that Kitchens' leadership is to blame following an ugly incident in which Browns defensive end Myles Garrett was suspended indefinitely without pay after he ripped the helmet off Mason Rudolph before hitting the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback in the head with it. Browns defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi was suspended one game for shoving Rudolph in the back. Continue to Article

Myles Garrett will surely spend the rest of his career — maybe even the rest of his life — trying to live this one down. The Cleveland Browns' star defensive end can expect to pay a huge price for his helmet-swinging assault — there's no other way to describe it — on Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph in the closing seconds of a Thursday night game that turned into an episode of WWE Smackdown. The Browns waived Callaway on Thursday, four days after he was benched, and shortly before NFL Network reported his suspension. Continue to Article

Cleveland
Garrett, who Cleveland took first overall in the 2017 NFL draft, will miss the rest of the regular season and any playoff games and must meet with the commissioner's office before a decision on his reinstatement will be taken. Cleveland has six regular season games remaining, meaning that Garrett's punishment is the longest suspension handed out by the NFL for a single on-the-field act. Garrett, one of the league's top defensive players, was ejected in the closing seconds of Thursday's game in Cleveland after he ripped the helmet off Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph and then struck him in the head with it. Cleveland
Several members of the Cleveland Browns quickly expressed embarrassment and anger after defensive end Myles Garrett hit Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph with his own helmet on Thursday night. Head coach Freddie Kitchens was among them. Kitchens was somber during his postgame press conference while discussing his feelings on Garrett's actions, which got him ejected from the game and could prompt legal action. Continue to Article
