Burnett parlayed extra reps in practice as a freshman into strong performances when the Trojans were beset by injuries last season. Fifth-ranked Washington had high expectations coming into this season, but the bar has been raised even higher as the Huskies try to stay on a path to the College Football Playoff. The Huskies (6-0, 3-0 Pac-12) are coming off a bye week and shouldn't have to worry about much other than style points Saturday when they take on Oregon State (2-4, 1-2) at Husky Stadium, beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET. The change in position for Oregon State quarterback Seth Collins seemed inevitable at the end of last season, when he was used in several roles in the finale against Oregon. The writing was on the wall: Utah State transfer Darell Garretson would be eligible to play this season, and it looked like that was where the Beavers were leaning at quarterback.
