Mike Riley wanted a change of scenery when he left Oregon State for Nebraska the first week of December 2014. One vision he thought he had left behind was the one of the Oregon Ducks beating his team year after year. Right after he accepted the job in Lincoln, he said, someone told him the Ducks were on the schedule in 2016 and '17. Continue to Article

Nebraska certainly took note when Oregon's Royce Freeman got his season rolling last weekend with over 200 yards rushing. ''Just one missed assignment or one missed tackle and he's hitting his head on the goalpost,'' Huskers linebacker Michael Rose-Ivey said. The No. 22 Ducks (2-0) visit Memorial Stadium on Saturday to face the Huskers (2-0), the biggest nonconference game of the season for both teams. Continue to Article

Oregon has piled up yards and points against lots of opponents over the years. Mike Riley last year brought Banker with him to continue as his defensive coordinator at Nebraska (2-0), a program that has more resources than Oregon State and presumably more talent. Nebraska
Oregon's first road game of the season will include a "Sea of Red" as a sellout crowd of over 87,000 will be on hand to welcome the No. 22 Ducks, who take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium. Mike Riley is in his second season at Nebraska (2-0) after serving 14 seasons as head coach at Oregon State. Riley went 4-10 in Civil War battles with Oregon (2-0) but lost his final seven games against the Ducks including a 47-19 loss on Nov. 29, 2014, five days before he left for Nebraska.
