Florida receiver Rick Wells has signed a deferred prosecution agreement with the State Attorney's Office, meaning he can avoid a conviction on his record if he meets a number of conditions. Wells and fellow freshman Tyrie Cleveland were arrested in July for firing BB guns into an on-campus residence hall. Cleveland is not eligible for deferred prosecution because of a past shoplifting charge in Houston. Continue to Article

Kentucky no longer has to look back a decade or two to find a game in which it played Florida close. The Wildcats (0-1) gave the Gators (1-0) all they could handle the last two seasons, but Kentucky is not looking for morale victories. If the opening week was considered one of the best ever in college football, this weekend might qualify for one of the worst. “The Battle at Bristol” as it’s affectionately called, will be held at Bristol Motor Speedway and some 150,000 fans are expected to attend, which would be the largest crowd ever to watch a college football game. Tennessee needed a come-from-behind effort to beat Appalachian State and Virginia Tech beat Liberty 36-13, but lost four fumbles in the process. Continue to Article

On Wednesday, the Big Sky Conference power announced it will play the University of Florida at the Swamp in Gainesville on Sept. 5, 2020.
