The Pro Football Hall of Fame is increasing the reimbursement package for fans who traveled to Canton, Ohio for Induction Weekend and were unable to see the Indianapolis Colts-Green Bay Packers game after it was canceled due to field conditions. The Hall announced on Thursday that in addition to refunding the full face value of tickets purchased for the game, including all processing, shipping and handling fees, it will also refund the cost of one night’s hotel stay, pre-paid parking passes purchased through the Hall, and pre-sale reservation fees. Former NFL star Darren Sharper has been sentenced to 18 years in prison in a case where he was accused of drugging and raping as many as 16 women in four states. Judge Jane Triche Milazzo sentenced Sharper on Thursday. Prosecutors suggested a 9-year prison term for Sharper under a multi-jurisdictional plea deal, but Milazzo rejected it as too lenient in June. Former National Football League star Darren Sharper could be sentenced on Thursday to 20 years in prison in a case that accuses him of drugging and raping nine women in four states while working as a television analyst. Sharper, 40, who retired from the NFL in 2011 after helping lead the New Orleans Saints to a Super Bowl championship, pleaded guilty in federal court in Louisiana to distributing controlled substances to unsuspecting women and then having sex with them while they were incapacitated.
