Milwaukee has a clear starting-pitching edge, but the SPF moneyline asks bettors to risk too much on an otherwise thin matchup case.
Misiorowski gives Milwaukee the pitching edge
CBS Sports lists Jacob Misiorowski and Andre Pallante as the probable starters for Sunday’s 3:10 p.m. ET game at American Family Field. Misiorowski is 15-5 with a 1.86 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 247 strikeouts in 169 1/3 innings, giving Milwaukee the strongest available reason to expect a win.
Pallante is 12-8 with a 3.61 ERA and 1.24 WHIP over 157 innings. His 106 strikeouts are well short of Misiorowski’s total, but his solid season makes it harder to justify Milwaukee’s -246 moneyline. St. Louis is +199, while the run line is Brewers -1.5 and Cardinals +1.5.
