Dallas is the likely winner, but the Cowboys' list of questionable pass catchers makes neither the moneyline nor the spread worth playing.
Dallas' injury questions outweigh the price
SportsPicksForum lists Dallas as a 5.5-point favorite and -230 on the moneyline, with Indianapolis at +190. Those prices point to a Cowboys win, but CenterPointSports' game report lists wide receiver George Pickens and tight ends Jake Ferguson and Luke Schoonmaker as questionable. With three Dallas pass catchers uncertain, the Cowboys aren't a sound bet at such a steep price.
Dallas has also ruled out wide receiver KaVontae Turpin and linebacker Malachi Lawrence. Five defenders are questionable, including linebacker DeMarvion Overshown and cornerback Joey Porter Jr. That uncertainty also makes laying 5.5 points difficult to justify.
Indianapolis has fewer offensive injury concerns
Indianapolis has no quarterback, running back, wide receiver or tight end on the CenterPointSports injury report. The Colts will be without linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither and cornerback Justin Walley, while safety A.J. Haulcy and tackle Jalen Travis are questionable. The lighter injury list supports Indianapolis' chance to stay close, but it doesn't provide enough evidence to recommend the Colts at +5.5.
CenterPointSports expects the retractable roof at Lucas Oil Stadium to be closed, so weather shouldn't affect the matchup or the 51.5-point total. With no verified performance data supporting a side or total, the best wager is Pass.
