Anaheim Ducks vs. Pittsburgh Penguins Prediction: Ducks Worth a Small Moneyline Lean
Analysis updated November 8, 2026 at 1:57 AM CST
Anaheim has the better record and the stronger attack, but the Ducks’ defensive numbers and uncertain goalie matchup rule out a confident bet.
Anaheim’s Form Supports the Short Price
The sports-data site Probetrics lists Anaheim at 9-7-1, including 5-4-1 over its last 10 games. Pittsburgh is 5-10-2 and 3-6-1 in its last 10. That gap makes the Ducks the more likely winner at SPF’s -120 moneyline price, though it supports only a small lean.
Anaheim scores 3.76 goals per game compared with Pittsburgh’s 3.24, according to Probetrics. The Ducks also have a 36.7% power play against Pittsburgh’s 81.4% penalty kill. Pittsburgh has its own favorable matchup with an 18.8% power play facing Anaheim’s 73.9% penalty kill, which reduces Anaheim’s advantage.
Goalie Uncertainty Limits the Bet
Center Ice Hub, an NHL starting-goalie tracker, projects Arturs Silovs for Pittsburgh and Lukas Dostal for Anaheim but lists neither starter as confirmed. Probetrics also notes that Sergei Murashov started Pittsburgh’s Nov. 7 game in Los Angeles, leaving the Penguins’ plan for the second game unclear.
Anaheim allows 3.76 goals per game, while Pittsburgh allows 3.47. Those figures don’t support laying -1.5 with the Ducks. The unconfirmed goalies also make the 6.5 total difficult to price, so the moneyline is the only lean and confidence remains low.
