The 4-0 Rockets are the likely winner against the 1-3 Bucks, but Houston’s depleted frontcourt makes both the moneyline and spread unattractive.
Houston’s frontcourt absences shape the matchup
The Dream Shake, a Houston Rockets community publication, reports that Alperen Sengun and Steven Adams are out, while Marcus Smart is a game-time decision. Those absences leave Houston short on frontcourt depth against a Milwaukee team coming off a productive interior performance.
CBS Sports and Field Level Media reported that Kel’el Ware had 16 points and 14 rebounds in 19 minutes against Indiana on Monday. Myles Turner added nine rebounds and four blocks as Milwaukee earned its first win of the season, 110-102. That size gives the Bucks a way to challenge Houston inside and makes an 8.5-point margin difficult to trust.
Why Houston is still the likely winner
Houston improved to 4-0 with a 120-110 win over Atlanta on Monday. Kevin Durant finished with 22 points, nine rebounds and four blocks in 30 minutes, giving the Rockets a two-way centerpiece even with Sengun and Adams unavailable.
