Idaho State's passing game is the strongest reason to question laying 11.5 points with Utah State at SPF. Utah newspaper Deseret News reports that Jordan Cooke threw for 325 yards and four touchdowns in the Bengals' 38-10 opening win over VMI. That shows scoring potential, though it doesn't establish how he'll fare against the Aggies.
Local sports radio station 106.9 FM / 1390 AM The Fan reports that Cooke ranked fourth in the FCS with 277.5 passing yards per game in 2025. It also reports that Idaho State lost 2025 rushing leader Dason Brooks to a Week 1 injury. The Bengals ran for just 88 yards on 25 attempts against VMI, leaving Cooke with less proven help on the ground.

Deseret News identifies McCae Hillstead as Utah State's starting quarterback and quotes coach Bronco Mendenhall saying the Aggies finished camp without significant injuries.
