A Tennessee win and a 47-point margin are different calls. Furman's running game could limit the possessions available to cover.
Winning is the easier call
Tennessee must win by at least 47 points to cover -46.5 against Furman. A few stalled drives or long Paladins possessions could put that margin out of reach even in a Volunteers win.
The Volunteers have won 18 consecutive nonconference regular-season games, and Josh Heupel is 5-0 in season openers at Tennessee. Tennessee is the pick to win, but those records offer little reason to lay 46.5. No moneyline is available to judge whether a straight-up bet is worth the price.

Can Furman keep drives alive?

Garcia completed 15 of 28 passes for 183 yards and an interception. Daniel Haughton caught five passes for 87 yards. If Tennessee makes Furman throw, Garcia will need to be more consistent than he was in the opener.

His absence matters against a Furman offense that leaned on the run against Anderson, though the available evidence does not show how much Tennessee will miss him.
Nine Furman players made their first career starts in the opener, leaving execution questions for the Paladins as well.
