Pacers vs. Grizzlies Prediction: Memphis Should Win, but Pass at -249
Analysis updated November 4, 2026 at 1:35 AM CST
The 6-1 Grizzlies face a 2-6 Pacers team missing four players, including Tyrese Haliburton, but the SPF moneyline already reflects Memphis’ advantages.
Indiana’s absences favor Memphis
Pacers Roundtable reports that Indiana is 2-6 and has lost five straight, while Memphis is 6-1. The Pacers have also ruled out Tyrese Haliburton, T.J. McConnell, Ben Sheppard and Johnny Furphy, weakening the case for an Indiana upset.
Indiana’s rotation remains unsettled. Pacers Roundtable lists Kelly Oubre Jr., Obi Toppin, Ivica Zubac, Braden Smith, Kobe Brown and Jalen Slawson as questionable. The official Indiana Pacers / NBA.com preview projects Andrew Nembhard, Quenton Jackson, Aaron Nesmith, Pascal Siakam and Jay Huff as the starters, but the questionable players leave Indiana’s available depth unclear.
Memphis has fewer reported availability concerns. The Pacers’ official preview lists Scotty Pippen Jr. out and Quinten Post questionable for the Grizzlies, who are projected to start Ty Jerome, Cedric Coward, Jaylen Wells, Cameron Boozer and Zach Edey.
The favorite is priced too high
SPF lists Memphis as a 6.5-point favorite and -249 on the moneyline, with Indiana at +205. Memphis is the likely winner based on the teams’ records and availability, but -249 requires a bettor to risk $249 to win $100. The available evidence doesn’t establish enough value at that price, so the moneyline is a pass.
Wise Guy Team, a betting-splits tracker, reported that 81% of DraftKings moneyline bets backed Memphis. Heavy public support shows where bettors are leaning, but it doesn’t improve the -249 return or justify a wager.
