West Virginia Wesleyan at Clarion Prediction: Golden Eagles Favored, but -10000 Is Too Steep

Clarion has the stronger case to win its opener, but West Virginia Wesleyan arrives with a dangerous passing game and five takeaways in its first victory. With no authoritative SPF line and another odds board listing Clarion at -10000, the betting lean is a pass.
Matchup outlook
Last season's 48-20 Clarion win does not tell the whole story entering this rematch. West Virginia Wesleyan opened 2026 with a 31-13 victory over Post, ending a 35-game losing streak and giving Mike Kellar a win in his debut as head coach.
The Bobcats gained 421 yards and averaged 6.3 yards per play. Mike Evans Jr. completed 14 of 22 passes for 303 yards and four touchdowns, and Amari Colon-Brown turned four catches into 149 yards and three scores. That pairing can punish mistakes in Clarion's coverage.
