Raghib Ismail Jr.'s 9-yard touchdown catch from Tyler Vander Waal with 17 seconds left capped a frantic 80-yard drive and lifted Wyoming over Wofford 17-14 on Saturday. Wyoming (2-2) struggled on offense until Vander Waal caught fire in the fourth quarter, completing 11 of 17 passes for 133 yards. While Jenkins is ready to play, coach Pat Shurmur said weakside linebacker Olivier Vernon is going to miss his second straight game with an ankle injury. Continue to Article

Dallas
The New York Giants had hoped to have pass rusher Olivier Vernon back for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys, but head coach Pat Shurmur said Friday the team has ruled him out. Shurmur said earlier this week he expected to see Vernon on the field, but after the linebacker missed a third straight practice on Friday, the coach declared he will not dress for the game. Vernon, who played at the University of Miami, is entering his third season with New York, but it is his first season as a linebacker in the 3-4 base system installed by new defensive coordinator James Bettcher.
