Pacers vs. Nets Prediction: Indiana Likely to Win, but -270 Is Too Steep
Analysis updated October 25, 2026 at 7:27 AM CDT
Brooklyn is playing its second game in two days, but Indiana's moneyline price leaves little room for uncertainty. The best betting choice is Pass.
Brooklyn's quick turnaround favors Indiana
Brooklyn hosts Indiana at 6:00 p.m. ET after losing 125-121 in Cleveland on Saturday night. SNY, the New York regional sports network, reported that the Nets made a late push in that loss, but Sunday's game will be their second in two days. That short turnaround makes Indiana the more likely winner.
The Indiana Pacers / NBA.com preview lists Tyrese Haliburton, Andrew Nembhard, Jarace Walker, Pascal Siakam and Ivica Zubac as Indiana's probable starters. Siakam scored 23 points in Friday's loss to Dallas, while Haliburton had 18 points, six rebounds and seven assists. Indiana is 1-1, so those individual performances don't provide enough evidence to justify laying 7.5 points.
The prices don't offer a clear wager
Brooklyn's probable starting group is Egor Demin, Keon Ellis, Michael Porter Jr., Julius Randle and Day'Ron Sharpe. Nets Wire, a team news outlet, reported that rookie guard Mikel Brown Jr. won't play as Brooklyn manages his return from a left ankle sprain. Tyler Bilodeau is also out. Indiana will be without Johnny Furphy, T.J. McConnell and Ben Sheppard.
Indiana should benefit from Brooklyn's rest disadvantage, but a -270 moneyline is expensive when the available evidence doesn't establish a strong team-level gap. There also isn't enough offensive or defensive data to support either side of the 231.5 total. Pass on the moneyline, spread and total.
