Patriots vs. Dolphins Prediction: New England Favored, but Injuries Cloud the Spread

Analysis updated November 1, 2026 at 7:28 AM CST

The Patriots are the likelier winner, but their missing offensive players make New England -7 difficult to justify.

Patriots have the edge, but not a clear bet

SportsPicksForum lists New England as a seven-point road favorite and -340 on the moneyline, with Miami at +270. Those prices make the Patriots the likely winner, but neither offers clear value without team-form or matchup statistics to support the gap.

The Patriots will be without wide receiver A.J. Brown, running back TreVeyon Henderson and tackle Marcus Bryant, according to the New England Patriots' official injury report. Those absences matter when New England must win by more than seven points to cash its spread. Miami guard/tackle Kadyn Proctor is also out, so the injury report doesn't point in only one direction.

Quarterbacks are cleared to play

New England quarterback Drake Maye was a full participant Friday after appearing on the report with a right-shoulder issue and received no game designation. Miami quarterback Malik Willis was also a full participant and received no designation after dealing with a groin issue.

The Football Database forecasts 74-degree weather, a 6 mph wind and no rain at Hard Rock Stadium. Those mild conditions provide little reason to favor either side or the 43.5-point total.

Public support does not settle the spread

Wise Guy Team, a betting-information site, reported that 84% of DraftKings spread tickets and 89% of spread money backed New England -7. It also reported 95% of moneyline tickets on the Patriots. Those sportsbook-specific figures show heavy public interest in New England, but they don't establish that either side is mispriced.

New England is the pick to win, but the available evidence doesn't support laying seven points or taking Miami solely because the Patriots are popular. Pass on the spread and total.
