New York’s probable starter has allowed fewer baserunners, but that advantage alone doesn’t establish a moneyline bet.

Texas is favored at -131 at SPF despite the Mets’ stronger probable-starter numbers. FOX Sports / Associated Press lists Thornton with a 3.40 ERA and 1.15 WHIP, compared with Kumar Rocker’s 4.47 ERA and 1.42 WHIP. Those season figures favor New York’s starter, though neither pitcher is confirmed.
