Pistons vs. 76ers Prediction: Injuries Make Philadelphia a Risky Favorite
Analysis updated October 25, 2026 at 7:35 AM CDT
The SPF price favors Philadelphia at -130, but the available injury report doesn't support a wager on the moneyline, spread or total.
Detroit’s frontcourt absence favors Philadelphia
Detroit visits Philadelphia at 7:30 p.m. ET on Sunday. The 76ers are -130 moneyline favorites and favored by 2.5 points, while the Pistons are +110 and getting 2.5 points.
Fox Sports The Gambler reports that Detroit center Jalen Duren is out with a hamstring injury and wing Ausar Thompson is questionable with an ankle injury. Duren’s absence gives Philadelphia the clearest matchup advantage, but Thompson’s uncertain status makes Detroit’s available rotation difficult to assess.
Philadelphia also has availability questions
Philadelphia forward Dominick Barlow is out with a back injury, and center Ariel Hukporti is out for the season with an Achilles injury. Center Tacko Fall is day-to-day with a hip injury, while forward LeBron James is day-to-day with a back injury.
The SPF market makes Philadelphia the likely winner, but the injury report alone doesn’t justify laying -2.5 points or paying -130. There also isn’t enough information about either team’s starters, recent form or season performance to evaluate the 227.5-point total. Pass on this game.
