Thunder vs. Cavaliers Prediction: Cleveland Has the Health Edge
Analysis updated November 2, 2026 at 1:05 AM CST
The Cavaliers are more likely to win, but their -180 moneyline and the unconfirmed starting lineups leave little value in backing them.
Thunder injuries favor Cleveland
iHeart Sports lists Oklahoma City’s Cason Wallace, Chet Holmgren, Alex Caruso, Nikola Topic, Thomas Sorber and Jalen Williams as out. Cleveland has two players listed out, Jaylon Tyson and Nae'Qwan Tomlin, while Peyton Watson is day-to-day with a hamstring injury. That availability gap helps explain why the Cavaliers are 4.5-point home favorites at SportsPicksForum.
Cleveland also holds early statistical advantages. The Cavaliers are averaging 48.2 rebounds per game and shooting 47.3% from the field, according to iHeart Sports. Oklahoma City is averaging 45.3 rebounds and shooting 43.9%. Missing Holmgren and several rotation players could make it harder for the Thunder to close those gaps.
Cavaliers are the likely winner, but Pass at this price
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 26.0 points per game, giving Oklahoma City a proven scorer despite its depleted roster. Cleveland counters with Donovan Mitchell, who is averaging 22.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists. Both teams enter at 4-2.
Cleveland is the more likely winner, but its -180 moneyline is expensive when the starting lineups haven’t been announced and Watson’s status remains uncertain. The same uncertainty makes laying 4.5 points difficult to justify. Pass.
