Vegas Golden Knights vs. Nashville Predators Prediction: Rest Favors the Home Underdog
Analysis updated October 13, 2026 at 7:44 AM CDT
Vegas has started 5-2-0, but the Golden Knights must play again after Monday’s 4-2 loss in Minnesota. They are the likely winner, though not a worthwhile bet at -125.
Vegas faces a difficult schedule spot
Vegas Golden Knights / NHL.com reports that Vegas is completing a road back-to-back after losing 4-2 at Minnesota on October 12. The Golden Knights still have the stronger record at 5-2-0, compared with Nashville’s 2-1-2 mark, but the quick turnaround makes their -125 moneyline less attractive.
Vegas has received strong early production from Jack Eichel, who entered Tuesday with 12 points. Mark Stone had seven, while Tomas Hertl and Mitch Marner each had six. That scoring gives Vegas the edge in the winner prediction, but the short price doesn’t account for enough of the fatigue risk.
Goaltending remains uncertain
Daily Faceoff, an NHL lineup and starting-goalie tracker, listed Adin Hill as Vegas’ likely starter and Juuse Saros as unconfirmed for Nashville. Hill was 2-0-0 with a 2.40 goals-against average and an .886 save percentage. With neither starter confirmed, there isn’t a sound basis for betting the total of 6.5.
Nashville Predators / NHL.com reports that backup Justus Annunen remained on injured reserve after practicing Monday. Forward Mavrik Bourque also practiced but remained day-to-day with an upper-body injury, adding more uncertainty to Nashville’s lineup.
Prediction
Vegas is the narrow pick to win because of its stronger start and documented scoring production. The second game in two nights and the unresolved goaltending matchup make -125 too expensive, so the betting lean is Pass.
