The 22-year-old starter recorded his first MLB win in the White Sox 7-2 victory over the Tigers. Members of the Royals’ grounds crew work to clear water from the field after water pipe broke at Kauffman Stadium. The fountains at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City have to be included among the coolest features at any Major League Baseball stadium. A busted pipe involving one the fountains led to some serious flooding in front of the Royals home bullpen during the fourth inning of Friday’s game against the Cleveland Indians. Serious enough that the game had to be delayed 30 minutes while the Royals grounds crew devised a plan to stop the leak and clear the field. Continue to Article

After battling a life-threatening infection, Cleveland Indians outfielder Leonys Martin is on the road to recovery. Martin is expected to be discharged from the hospital Sunday, according to ESPN. The Minnesota Twins have again placed right-hander Ervin Santana on the 10-day disabled list in a flurry of moves announced by the team on Sunday. Santana made five starts since returning from the DL, but is still struggling with symptoms from an injury to his third finger on his pitching hand.
