Fordham quarterback Kevin Anderson was granted a medical redshirt by the league to return for a fifth season of eligibility. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Anderson was granted the extra year because he sat out his freshman season at Marshall in 2013 while recovering from a broken collarbone he suffered as a high school senior in Boca Raton, Florida. Army has suspended defensive coordinator Jay Bateman for two weeks for mishandling information about the Wake Forest football team. West Point also fined Bateman $25,000 for his role in the so-called WakeyLeaks scandal and ordered him to attend ethics training. Arion Worthman threw for 207 yards to balance out Air Force's run-heavy offense, Jacobi Owens scored two touchdowns and the Falcons overcame a sluggish start to beat South Alabama 45-21 in Arizona Bowl on Friday.
