San Francisco 49ers standout tight end George Kittle was listed as doubtful on Friday's injury report and could miss his second straight game due to knee and ankle injuries. Kittle might end up being a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals after he missed Monday night's loss to the Seattle Seahawks due to the ailments. San Francisco coach Kyle Shanahan said he has seen improvement from Kittle over the past few days. Continue to Article

SANTA CLARA – Not only did the 49ers lose linebacker Kwon Alexander to a season-ending injury in Week 9, but linebacker Fred Warner did not play well that night against the Arizona Cardinals. Warner responded Monday night with what 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh described as the best game of his two-year NFL career. "I thought he was just on it," Saleh said. Continue to Article

Coach Kyle Shanahan said he certainly would entertain the possibility of suiting up fewer than 46 players because the 49ers would not want to place any of their players on injured reserve or create a roster spot by releasing anyone. Both the San Francisco 49ers and the New England Patriots will be hungry to show a positive response to their first defeats of the NFL season in Week 11. Inspired by Russell Wilson, the Seahawks ended San Francisco's perfect record with a 27-24 overtime victory at Levi's Stadium on Monday, Jason Myers settling it with a field goal. The Patriots are also 8-1 after going down 37-20 to the Baltimore Ravens at the start of November - they return to action following a bye week with a trip to the Philadelphia Eagles.
