Seattle right-hander Felix Hernandez was bombed for four runs in the first inning Friday night, and the Baltimore Orioles went on to beat the Mariners 5-3 in the opener of a three-game series. Hernandez (1-7), who had allowed a total of just two homers in his eight previous starts at Baltimore, was tagged for Anthony Santander's 20th, a three-run blast in the first, and Hanser Alberto's 12th, a solo shot in the fourth, in his five-inning stint. Hernandez, who does not have a contract for next season, is scheduled for one more start this season -- at home on Thursday against the Oakland A's. Continue to Article

Following immediate concern, everything appeared to be alright as Bichette quickly hopped back up to his feet. Continue to Article

The first was the Boston Red Sox with NESN in 2006, a trend continued when the Los Angeles Dodgers put all of their games on Time Warner (now Spectrum) SportsNet, and later when the Baltimore Orioles put theirs on MASN in 2018 after having been on WJZ for 64 years. The Toronto Blue Jays were on the cusp of quite the accomplishment Thursday night against the Baltimore Orioles. After Cavan Biggio and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. both slapped solo home runs to centre field before him in the top of the fourth inning, Toronto's Vladimir Guerrero Jr. got all of a Gabriel Ynoa offering. It looked like he was going to give the Blue Jays back-to-back-to-back dingers and a 3-1 advantage. Continue to Article
