Major League Baseball announced Thursday that New York Yankees right-hander Domingo German was placed on administrative leave under the joint domestic violence policy between the league and the MLB Players Association. The leave, which can last up to seven days, is the first step while domestic violence allegations are investigated. Bo Bichette is in the MLB concussion protocol following the events of Thursday night's game between the Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles. The 21-year-old was involved in a scary moment in the sixth inning when he took a 93 mph fastball to the helmet that caused him to crumple into a heap. Add the Chicago Cubs to the growing roster of Major League Baseball teams moving all their games to cable television. In the past decade or so, teams have increasingly demanded games on their own networks and not on free over-the-air television. The first was the Boston Red Sox with NESN in 2006, a trend continued when the Los Angeles Dodgers put all of their games on Time Warner (now Spectrum) SportsNet, and later when the Baltimore Orioles put theirs on MASN in 2018 after having been on WJZ for 64 years. The Toronto Blue Jays were on the cusp of quite the accomplishment Thursday night against the Baltimore Orioles. After Cavan Biggio and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. both slapped solo home runs to centre field before him in the top of the fourth inning, Toronto's Vladimir Guerrero Jr. got all of a Gabriel Ynoa offering.
