Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers begin life without Aaron Rodgers for the forseeable future, handing the reins to backup Brett Hundley for his first NFL start against the surprising New Orleans Saints. Rodgers sustained a right collarbone injury in last week's loss to the Minnesota Vikings and could miss the rest of the season. The Green Bay Packers placed Aaron Rodgers on injured reserve Friday after the quarterback had surgery on his broken collarbone. The procedure on Rodgers was done Thursday outside of Green Bay. He was hurt in the first quarter in a 23-10 loss last weekend Continue to Article

Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers placed quarterback Aaron Rodgers on injured reserve on Friday, one day after he had surgery to repair his broken right collarbone. Rodgers, who led the Packers to a Super Bowl title in the 2010 season, was hurt in the first quarter of Sunday's 23-10 loss at Minnesota after taking a hit from Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr. Current NFL rules allow teams to bring two players back from the injured reserve list after an eight-week absence, so Rodgers might yet be able to return this season. Continue to Article

Green Bay Packers
Minnesota Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr said Friday he did not intend to ''take out'' Aaron Rodgers with a hit last weekend that left the Packers quarterback with a broken right collarbone. After spending most of the week in the NFL's concussion protocol, Barr was cleared Friday and allowed to speak to the media for the first time since Sunday's game. ''By no means was I trying to injure or take out Aaron Rodgers,'' Barr said. Continue to Article
