Finally, it’s Thursday. This week on Thursday Night Football, we’ve got the 5-1 Chiefs visiting the 2-4 Raiders — a record we didn’t quite envision through six weeks for the silver and black. The Raiders have a prime opportunity to gain some ground in the division at home with a win against the Chiefs, but that’s not going to be an easy task. Kansas City has looked like the most complete team in the NFL, with an offense that has a thick arsenal. On paper this doesn’t look like the best matchup, but there’s some serious potential for a good game on Thursday. Here’s why you should watch this particular poopfest. Kareem the Dream Kareem Hunt has been one of the biggest surprises in the NFL this Continue to Article

The last two times Carr, who is making $25 million per year, has played in prime time, he has not played well. In Week Three, Carr completed 19 of 31 passes for 119 yards, generating an average of 3.8 yards per attempt and a passer rating of 52.9. Last year against the Chiefs on a Thursday night in Kansas City, Carr essentially disqualified himself from MVP consideration with an even worse showing. Continue to Article

The Kansas City Chiefs will be happy to have Tyreek Hill for Thursday night’s matchup with division rival the Oakland Raiders. Hill left Sunday’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers late in the fourth quarter to be evaluated for a concussion after taking a big hit on the sideline during a punt return. Hill was cleared of a concussion, however, he is listed on the Chiefs’ injury report with a neck injury. Hill caught five passes on seven targets for 34 yards before leaving the game Sunday. Hill should be able to bounce back against Oakland Thursday if his neck injury is not too serious. He has had a see-saw season so far, having big games during the odd weeks including a season-high 177 yards receiving Continue to Article

The Oakland Raiders have tried to get tight end Jared Cook involved in the offense this season, however, he has been only a quiet contributor so far. Cook has five or more targets in every game except Week 6, but only had five receptions the first game of the season. He has just one game with over 50 yards receiving and he has scored exactly one touchdown so far this season. He has also struggled to hold onto the ball with several drops and a lost fumble in Week 5. Sunday, Cook had a season-low two catches on three targets for 14 yards. Cook is looking at another slow night Thursday against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs have not given up a touchdown to a tight end yet this season, but they Continue to Article

Lynch has been a fantasy bust so far, but owners may want to have Beastmode in their lineups Thursday night. Marshawn Lynch had his second-best rushing game of the season Sunday in the Oakland Raiders’ loss to the Los Angles Chargers. Continue to Article
