Baltimore Ravens
After it was announced that QB Jay Cutler was to play against the Baltimore Ravens, I couldn’t help but smile. The Ravens aren’t ones to play nice against anybody. Obviously no team treats the returning starters or rookies of the opposition nicely, but most teams don’t have the defensive capability to punish them for thinking they’ll cruise into their first or returning game. The defense is excited to work; they’re roaring in practice. They don’t even like their own offense scoring or being successful. Eric Weddle, during morning stretches and warmups, said, “The goal today, is to destroy the offense.” This was against his own team. Some players attempted to convince head coach John Harbaugh Continue to Article

Baltimore Ravens
A few months ago, the Baltimore Ravens shipped center, Jeremy Zuttah, out of town in a trade with the San Francisco 49ers for a 2017 sixth-round draft pick. Zuttah spent three years, from 2014-2016 as the starting center for the Ravens, and was coming off two down years heading to the Bay Area. Baltimore, meanwhile, were ready to move on from Zuttah with the likes of Ryan Jensen and John Urschel to compete for the starting center spot. Even at guard, the team had starter Alex Lewis, and also rookie, Nico Siragusa, for depth. Things seemed okay until Urschel retired, along with season-ending injuries to Lewis and Siragusa. Furthermore, Zuttah didn't last that long as a 49er, as he was released Continue to Article

Miami Dolphins
The Ravens second preseason game of the 2017 season will be played on Thursday night in Miami against the Dolphins. Below are four players to watch during Baltimore’s second preseason game: 1. Ryan Mallett For the second straight week, all eyes will be on the Ravens backup quarterback. Mallett under threw several receivers and never quite looked comfortable during his preseason debut. In his defense, he was operating with a majority of the second-team offense against the Redskin’s first and second-team defensive units. However, with most of the Raven’s first-team offense ready to make their respective debuts on Thursday night, there will be no more excuses for Mallett. 2. James Hurst Many of Continue to Article

Miami Dolphins
A former Miami Dolphins cornerback left two Miami-Dade police officers injured on Tuesday after he bolted from a Miami-Dade courtroom when a judge ordered him placed under custody, police said. Dimitri Patterson, 34, was being detained Tuesday evening and is expected to face charges including battery on a law enforcement officer. Patterson, who played for the Dolphins in 2012 and 2013, was at the Lawson E. Thomas Courthouse Center in downtown Miami at a hearing before Judge William Altfield. It was not clear why he was in court. To read the full report, click here Continue to Article

Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens have been a tough team to get a read on this preseason because theyve sustained so many injuries, some of which have hindered their ability to fully showcase their potential. This could be said of a few other NFL teams, but with the Ravens it is especially true due to the absence of franchise quarterback Joe Flacco. Flacco didnt appear in last Thursdays opener against Washington, but despite that, Bleacher Report NFL analyst Chris Simms remains very high on this team which he had already tabbed tenth in his previous power rankings.
