Buffalo Bills
Week 1 of the preseason usually is slow going. However, it is also the rookie showcase as many new talents make their career debut. We cannot jump to too many conclusions from a few quarters of play in what is essentially a scrimmage game. However, some rookies are already on the fantasy radar and owners should know if they are living up to the hype. So to that end, here is how some of the more notable rookie wide receivers fared in preseason Week 1. Fantasy owners take note. Rookie wideouts are having a rough start to NFL life, Jones is no exception. Barely noticed by QB Tyrod Taylor, Jones did not have any catches. He was at least on the field and with the unexpected trade of Sammy Watkins Continue to Article

Buffalo Bills
PHILADELPHIA (CBS)–It will be somewhat of a reunion at the Linc Thursday night. The Buffalo Bills will be in town to take on the Eagles in a preseason game featuring two teams quite familiar with each other.  There has been a strong football pipeline going in both directions from South Philadelphia to Western New York.  The most recent move came on Friday, when the Eagles traded Wide Receiver Jordan Matthews to the Bills for Cornerback Ronald Darby.  For players and coaches on both sides, there will be plenty of familiarity on Thursday night.  Former Bill Corey Graham will be in the Eagles secondary and is eager to go against some of his former teammates. “You get little bit more into it than Continue to Article

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- What a difference a year makes. Last season at this time, Carson Wentz was an injured third string quarterback, surely never dreaming the way the final week of the preseason would play out. "I'm thankful I'm healthy this year. The difference a year makes is pretty crazy," Wentz said Tuesday. WATCH: Carson Wentz named starting quarterback for the Eagles - September 5, 2016 Last week, Wentz was perfect. Four for four. Fifty-six yards and a touchdown in his only series against Green Bay. But his teammates say it's off the field where his growth has been exponential. "To have seen him make strides, leaps and bounds, as a leader cause he knows what to expect now. Last Continue to Article

PITTSFORD – The Buffalo Bills will have a new backup quarterback Thursday night for their second preseason game. Coach Sean McDermott confirmed Tuesday that rookie Nathan Peterman will serve as the No. 2 behind Tyrod Taylor against the Philadelphia Eagles. "He’s done a good job, he really has," McDermott said. "This is a rookie quarterback that is in the development phase of his career. ... I thought he’s handled the additional reps well, and we need to continue to develop Nathan, so we know what we have." Peterman has seen most of the backup reps during the last three days of practice. During the Bills' first preseason game last week against the Minnesota Vikings, Peterman went 13 of 25 for Continue to Article

PITTSFORD, N.Y. -- Jordan Matthews' first chance to fill Sammy Watkins' starting job with the Buffalo Bills ended with the newly acquired receiver sustaining a chest injury. Matthews finished the two-hour practice on Sunday before being escorted off the field by a trainer. The Bills were unable to provide an update on the nature or severity of the injury because Matthews was still being evaluated. It's unclear when Matthews might have been hurt, though he did fall hard along the sideline while attempting to make a leaping catch in one-on-one coverage with cornerback Shareece Wright during a team drill. It was not the type of debut the Bills were counting upon in returning to training camp since Continue to Article
