Denver Broncos
There's growing speculation that Broncos coach Gary Kubiak will step down after the season because of health concerns just 11 months after leading Denver to a triumphant Super Bowl 50. Several coaches and players told The Associated Press over the last week that Kubiak hasn't informed them of any retirement plans. ''Why, do I look bad?'' Kubiak said, smiling. Continue to Article

Ten suspended Minnesota football players will not face charges in connection with an alleged sexual assault near campus, prosecutors announced after taking a second look at the case. Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman had previously declined to charge the players in connection with the September incident that triggered suspensions, possible expulsions, talk of a bowl game boycott and questions of whether head coach Tracy Claeys should continue with the Gopher football program. (Reuters) - A showdown between the Packers and Lions that brings down the curtain on the National Football League's regular season may offer the most drama, but there is much at stake in Sunday's final slate of games. The loser may still claim a wild card berth in the playoffs that begin the following weekend, but that depends on results earlier in the day. The Washington Redskins (8-6-1) would claim the conference's second wild card if they beat the visiting New York Giants (10-5), who are already assured a wild card in the postseason.
