Looks like New York Jets fans and some of us in the media aren’t the only ones who think it’s worth the Jets taking a long look at second-year quarterback Bryce Petty. As first reported by Chris Moore of WFAN and confirmed by several others since, the Jets will start Petty on Sunday when they face the Los Angeles Rams instead of veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick. Isaiah Pead last played with the Dolphins in Week 5. Running back Isaiah Pead, who was with the Miami Dolphins earlier this season, was in a car accident early Saturday morning that has left him in critical condition. According to WCMH-4 in Columbus, Ohio, Pead, an Ohio high school standout who went on to star at the University of Cincinnati before the Rams made a second-round draft pick in 2012, was driving his 2011 Cadillac CTS sedan on Interstate 670 when he lost control of his vehicle.
