Buffalo Sabres
The key to a good goal song is having one that will make fans want to get out their seats to join in the celebrations.  Take the Buffalo Sabres, for example. In a contest earlier this season  fans selected “Let Me Clear My Throat” by DJ Kool as the song to hear after every goal scored by the home side. It was a brilliant choice because it's one that you just cannot listen to without bobbing your head. So when we saw that the San Jose Sharks were  holding a goal song contest of their own and we took a look at the options, there was only one choice that stood out. No, not “Ain’t Talkin’ Bout Love” by Van Halen. Sorry, “Dup Dup” by Mickie Krause. We’ll pass on House of Pain’s “Jump Around” and “Kick Start My Heart” by Motley Crue. And as much as we love “Shout,” we can only listen to the  Otis Day and the Knights  version. There can only be one San Jose Sharks goal song and it must be this LMFAO remix of “Shots”: That is… something else. There will be three voting periods with the first round running through March 15. The top four songs will move on to round two, which will run through March 20. The final two songs will then face off through March 27.  (The fine print on the Sharks’ website reads , “Fan vote is one factor used in determining winning song along with input from players and staff." So make your voice heard.) Now it’s up you, hockey fan, to do your solemnly sworn duty and vote for the LMFAO “Sharks” remix version because we really want to see a toothless, bearded Brent Burns celebrate to it. Montreal Canadiens
The Montreal Canadiens have at least regained their edge on home ice, though it's hardly been an advantage in recent meetings with the Buffalo Sabres. After having its fading playoff hopes all but dashed by an 0-3-1 road trip, Montreal (31-30-6) opened a four-game stay at Bell Centre with Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over Western Conference contender Dallas to move to 6-0-1 in its last seven at home. Success has been surprisingly harder to achieve against the Sabres, who've left Montreal victorious in 10 of their last 13 visits. Continue to Article

Montreal Canadiens
At the end of the Montreal Canadiens’ annual open practice at Bell Centre last month, players tossed pucks to fans in the crowd. Not an uncommon sight to see at hockey games or open practices.  Unfortuntely one of the pucks tossed by P.K. Subban hit a one-month-old infant . Valerie Meloche, the child's mother, wrote on Facebook that her daughter suffered a concussion and spent the night at Montreal Children’s Hospital, the same hospital that the Canadiens defenseman pledged $10 million to in September . [ Join a Yahoo Daily Fantasy Hockey contest today ] After Tuesday night’s win over the Dallas Stars, Subban got to meet young Beatrice for the first time since the incident after her family was invited to the game.  The meeting was captured by Sean Farrell of NHL.com :  Bébé Béatrice resting comfortably in the arms of @PKSubban1 . Buffalo Sabres
Antti Raanta made Henrik Lundqvist's absence less of an issue on a night the New York Rangers were hardly at their best. Raanta stopped the final 24 shots he faced, and the Rangers held on for a 4-2 victory over the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday after nearly squandering a 3-0 lead. ''We didn't play our best game,'' said Mats Zuccarello, who had a goal and two assists. Continue to Article
