Magic vs. Raptors Prediction: Orlando’s Turnovers Favor Toronto
Analysis updated October 30, 2026 at 1:16 AM CDT
Toronto won Wednesday’s meeting 129-99 after scoring 20 points off 20 Orlando turnovers. The Raptors should win the rematch, but the available evidence doesn’t justify a wager at SPF’s prices.
Turnovers put more pressure on a depleted Orlando lineup
NBA.com reports that Orlando committed 20 turnovers in Wednesday’s 129-99 loss to Toronto, leading to 20 Raptors points. The Magic were averaging 18.0 turnovers through four games, tied for the NBA’s third-highest rate, and another sloppy performance would make covering the SPF spread of +5.5 difficult.
Orlando will also be without Paolo Banchero because of an ankle injury, Jalen Suggs because of a knee injury and Jonathan Isaac because of a left-knee sprain. Tristan da Silva entered Friday averaging 14.5 points while shooting 51.2% from the field and 45.2% from three, but those absences leave the Magic with fewer proven options to reverse Wednesday’s result.
Leonard’s absence makes Toronto’s price harder to back
Toronto won the first meeting behind 28 points from Scottie Barnes and 25 points, nine rebounds and six assists from RJ Barrett. Ja'Kobe Walter added 14 points and five rebounds while starting for Kawhi Leonard, who remains out with left-knee swelling.
The Raptors are the likely winner, but SPF lists them at -205 on the moneyline and -5.5 against the spread. One 30-point win supports Toronto’s status as the favorite, but it doesn’t prove value at either price, especially with Leonard unavailable. The 225.5 total is also a pass because the available evidence doesn’t establish how the rematch will be paced or defended.
