Raptors vs. Wizards Prediction: Toronto Favored, but -265 Is Too Steep
Analysis updated October 23, 2026 at 7:15 AM CDT
Toronto's 43-point opening win and Washington's absences point to the Raptors, but they don't justify paying -265 or laying 6.5 points.
Toronto's fast start sets the price
Toronto visits Washington at Capital One Arena on Friday as a 6.5-point favorite. The Raptors are -265 on the moneyline, while the Wizards are +215 and the total is 236.5.
Bullets Forever, a Washington Wizards news site, reported that Toronto opened its season with a 135-92 win over Chicago. Washington also won its opener, so one game from each team provides little evidence that Toronto will cover on the road.
Washington's absences favor Toronto
Bullets Forever lists Washington's AJ Dybantsa, Jamir Watkins and Tristan Vukcevic as out. Toronto center Nate Bittle is also out with a foot injury.
RotoWire reports that Washington center Felix Okpara is questionable because of an illness and will be checked again closer to tipoff. His uncertain status makes the Wizards harder to assess, but missing lineup and team-performance data don't automatically make Washington plus the points a good bet.
Prediction
Toronto is the likelier winner after its dominant opener and Washington's confirmed absences. Still, -265 is expensive, there isn't enough evidence to support Toronto -6.5, and the 236.5 total can't be judged without reliable pace or efficiency data. Pass.
