The Cubs continued to pile on against Mets starter Noah Syndergaard (9-7) in the second and third, when Schwarber and Castellanos hit two-run homers for a 10-1 lead. But the Mets stormed back and chased Cubs starter Kyle Hendricks during a five-run fifth, when Todd Frazier hit a one-out, pinch-hit double before Jeff McNeil and J.D. In a stunning twist in the Chicago radio world, ESPN Audio on Wednesday said it has cut a lease deal with Good Karma Brands to “assume operations and control of” ESPN Radio Chicago (WMVP-AM) at 1000 on the radio dial. Under terms of the deal, Beaver Dam, Wisconsin-based Good Karma will “expand its affiliate relationship” with ESPN Radio as the Wisconsin company assumes operating control of the station, which will retain the ESPN 1000 brand name for promotional purposes.
