Max Muncy hit a game-ending two-run double in the bottom of the ninth inning Sunday to give the Los Angeles Dodgers a wild 11-10 victory over the visiting San Diego Padres on Sunday. In a back-and-forth game, the Dodgers rallied despite seeing Joc Pederson get thrown out at third base in the ninth inning after Alex Verdugo's ground ball to Eric Hosmer at first base. Justin Verlander struck out 10 in another dominant Houston pitching performance, and the Astros beat the Seattle Mariners 3-1 Sunday for a three-game sweep. A day after Astros newcomer Aaron Sanchez and three relievers combined on a no-hitter, Verlander (15-4) took over the major league wins lead and left with an AL-best 2.68 ERA. Oakland Athletics center fielder Ramon Laureano was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday and said he will miss approximately four weeks with a stress reaction in his right shin. Laureano told reporters the shin has been bothering him since the team's season-opening series against the Seattle Mariners in March when the two games were played on turf in the Tokyo Dome.
