Just days after acquiring right-hander Sam Dyson from the San Francisco Giants, the Minnesota Twins have placed him on the 10-day injured list with right biceps tendinitis. Five pitchers combined on a one-hitter, Juan Soto homered for the fourth time in five games and the Washington Nationals beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-0 on Friday night in Phoenix. Matt Adams' two-out, two-run double gave the Nationals a 2-0 lead in the sixth inning before Soto's solo blast to right field in the eighth. Starter Joe Ross (1-3) struggled early, walking five batters in the first 2 1/3 innings, but he didn't give up a hit until rookie pitcher Alex Young hustled to beat out an infield single with one out in the fifth. Colorado Rockies All-Star outfielder David Dahl is believed to have a right ankle sprain, the team announced after Friday's game against the San Francisco Giants in Denver, according to Yahoo Sports. Dahl was carted off the field in the top of the sixth inning after appearing to bend his right leg awkwardly as he tried to change direction to catch a line drive hit by Scooter Gennett, who was making his debut with the Giants.
