Martinez, Andrew Benintendi and Sam Travis clouted homers in a seven-run third inning, and Eduardo Rodriguez fired seven innings of two-hit, shutout ball to lead the Boston Red Sox to a 9-4 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday night in St. Petersburg, Fla. The three-homer barrage occurred after Rafael Devers opened the scoring in the third with a two-RBI double. Marcus Stroman and Eric Sogard aren't the only Blue Jays that are drawing interest ahead of the MLB trade deadline. The Red Sox are reportedly kicking the tires on Toronto closer Ken Giles, according to the MLB Network's Jon Morosi. Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Brandon Woodruff is headed to the 10-day injured list with a strained left oblique muscle. Woodruff, a first-time All-Star this season, left his start in Phoenix against the Arizona Diamondbacks two pitches into the fourth inning with what the team described a few innings later as abdominal discomfort.
