San Francisco Giants President and CEO Larry Baer is set to return to work Tuesday following a suspension and nearly four-month absence after a video showed him in a physical altercation with his wife. The Giants said Saturday that Baer attended a ''regular counseling program and has recommitted himself to the organization.'' Baer was not paid during his suspension in which Commissioner Rob Manfred stipulated he have no involvement with the team. Board member Rob Dean handled Baer's duties during his time away. Fernando Tatis Jr. and Eric Hosmer hit back-to-back homers off Michael Wacha with one out in the bottom of the sixth inning Friday night to power the host San Diego Padres to a 3-1 win over the visiting St. Louis Cardinals at Petco Park. The home runs erased a 1-0 Cardinals lead that came on a fourth-inning run that erased a season-worst streak of 19 straight scoreless innings by St. Louis. Giancarlo Stanton drove in his first four runs of the season on a pair of two-run singles as the host New York Yankees extended their season-high winning streak to eight games with a 7-5 victory over the Houston Astros on Saturday night. The Yankees picked up their latest win on a night when they blew a pair of two-run leads and homered for the 25th straight game, tying the team record set from June 1-29, 1941.
