A grieving Los Angeles Angels line-up defeated the Texas Rangers 9-4 on Tuesday as the team returned to action a day after the sudden death of pitcher Tyler Skaggs. The shellshocked Angels had postponed their game against the Rangers in Arlington, Texas on Monday just hours after the popular 27-year-old Skaggs was found unconscious in his hotel room. The New York Yankees signed 16-year-old center fielder Jasson Dominguez, billed as the best Latin American prospect in years, to a deal that includes a $5.1 million bonus, ESPN reported. Dominguez, a 5-foot-11, 195-pound prospect, is a switch hitter with speed and power and has been categorized as a five-tool player.
