New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes suffered multiple fractures of his right ankle during a "violent fall" on Saturday, according to the Mets. The incident occurred at Cespedes' ranch in Port St. Lucie, Fla. Mets general manager Brodie Van Wagenen told reporters on Monday that Cespedes stepped in a hole. Michael Chavis pointed to a young boy in the press box, letting him know how impressed he was that a 5-year-old announced his name so well. Boston's rookie sparkplug then stepped to the plate and gave the kid something extra to be excited about.
