Jacob deGrom was back in 2018 form - and so were his New York Mets teammates. Jose Iglesias homered off Edwin Diaz with two outs in the ninth inning to give the Cincinnati Reds a 1-0 victory Wednesday night as the Mets wasted seven shutout innings from their $137.5 million ace. Jeurys Familia hasn't been very effective in his return to the New York Mets. Familia coughed up a two-run lead in the ninth inning Tuesday night and informed the Mets his shoulder was bothering him the following morning, manager Mickey Callaway said. Bothered by a sore right shoulder and some rough outings recently, New York Mets reliever Jeurys Familia was placed on the 10-day injury list Wednesday. Armed with a three-year, $30 million deal to rejoin the Mets in December, the 29-year-old right-hander let a two-run lead and a save opportunity slip away Tuesday night against the Cincinnati Reds.
