Marco Gonzales didn't allow an earned run for his third straight start as the Seattle Mariners defeated the visiting Texas Rangers 2-1 Monday afternoon at Safeco Field. The Mariners won their fourth straight game and for the ninth time in their past 10. Gonzales (5-3), a left-hander, allowed one unearned run on four hits in 6 2/3 innings. Continue to Article

Gallo came up through the minors as a third baseman, though he said it is his "least favorite position now" after playing elsewhere and seeing the toll the hot corner took on his body. "I'd rather catch," said Gallo, who told ESPN Radio earlier this year that he gave up catching as a kid after a young Bryce Harper bounced a pitch in the dirt to him while they were youth baseball teammates in Las Vegas, hitting Gallo in the ribs and making him cry.
