Patrick Corbin lost his no-hit bid on a checked-swing infield single with two outs in the eighth inning but finished a one-hitter to lift the Arizona Diamondbacks over the San Francisco Giants 1-0 on Tuesday night. The New York Yankees third baseman, currently on the disabled list after departing a game on April 6, opened up to reporters Monday about his ongoing struggles with migraines and blurred vision for the past four years. Poor weather has been baseball’s biggest enemy this season. The Toronto Blue Jays heard those complaints, and decided to capitalize on them by sending out a snarky tweet bragging about Monday’s game being “played as expected” since the roof at Rogers Centre would protect the field from the weather. Not long after that, a chunk of ice crashed through the roof of the stadium, eventually leading to Monday’s game being cancelled. Continue to Article
