Meghan Markle touched down at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport on Thursday for a surprisingly practical reason: to finalize her visa application to the United Kingdom. TMZ reports that the Suits actor spent about 10 minutes at the VFS Global UK Visa Application Centre on Thursday to finalize the paperwork. Detroit Tigers pitcher Jordan Zimmermann bruised the right side of his jaw when hit in the face by a line drive off the bat of Cleveland's Jason Kipnis on Wednesday night and left after two batters in the Indians' 5-1 win. Making his third start of the season, Zimmermann retired Francisco Lindor on a fly ball starting the game. The 31-year-old right-hander had little time to react to Kipnis' line on a 2-2 pitch. Zimmermann was face down on the pitcher's mound for several moments after being struck and was attended to by head athletic trainer Doug Teter. Matt Davidson hit a two-run homer with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning as the Chicago White Sox halted a five-game losing streak with a 2-1 victory over the visiting Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday afternoon. Davidson struck out twice to extend his slump to 3-for-26 before lifting a 1-1 changeup from Austin Pruitt (1-2) into the center-field seats well out of the reach of center fielder Kevin Kiermaier.
