Mets RHP Matt Harvey flirted with and escaped danger multiple times in a no-decision in Sunday's game against the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park. Harvey gave up four runs, nine hits and one walk in five innings, leaving six Nationals stranded on the basepaths as he departed with a 5-4 lead. He pitched into and out of a bases-loaded, two-out jam in the fourth inning by getting Anthony Rendon to fly out to deep left field, and escaped a fifth-inning jam when Michael A. Washington Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon was ejected for the first time in 642 career games on Saturday. Rendon was tossed in the third inning of Washington’s 3-2 loss to the Mets after taking his second called strike three in as many at-bats.
